Presentation by Bill Oakey:

If you would like to add some fun music to your Apple Music library, or just play it on a CD player, here are some deals that are too good to pass up. These can be purchased online:

1. Johnny Cash - The Original Sun Albums 1957-1964 (8 Cd's, plus book). $23.49 Available at Target and Walmart. Amazon will have it on March 15. When I saw this price, I thought it was a typo! This set is on the Charly label from England. Even though the songs date back to 1957, the guitars sound like they are right in my living room.

2. Original Album Classics - These are sets, usually with 5 CD's. A few artists have only 3 CD’s. These come in attractive packages, called digipaks. Each CD comes in cardboard sleeves with original album artwork. The best part is you get 5 CD’s for the price of one. You can find these brand new, often at Amazon. But you can find better prices for used ones on Discogs.com or on EBay. If the condition is listed as very good, mint, or like new, they will be just fine.

Discogs is a great place to look up CD's, or even vinyl if you like. Check out this link for CD sets in the Original Album Classics series. These are from Sony Music, which includes both RCA and Columbia artists. You'll find rock, pop, folk, jazz, R&B, soul, etc.

Discogs lists the tracks on each CD. You can usually find the tracks, and sometimes the entire album on YouTube. Then listen to some samples and decide which sets to buy. The sound quality is excellent. To get the best price, try Ebay, Amazon, and ImportCDs.com. Or just Google the title of the set, and click the Shopping header.

3. Original Album Series - These sets are very similar to the Classics, containing artists from the Warner Music Group. Here is the Discogs link:
