By plugging that NAS (network-attached storage) device into your extreme, you're putting it on the network to be accessed wirelessly. The device still has to be Mac-compatible, etc to be useable.

The latest Extremes all have gigabit ports, but the first model of the current body style had 10/100 ports (MB053LL/A), so long as you don't have this model or older, gigabit networking will work for the device.

Need to know if this will work?
I want to plug a gigabit ethernet storage device into the Apple Extreme Base (router)?

Found one that uses gigabit ethernet input connection and has SATA on the inside.
Will handle up to 4 SATA drives.

What is the thinking from the CapMac guru's?
Thanks

Maybe in the wrong forum, but hope not?
What hardware/software is required to stream movies from my iMac on my wireless network to a big screen monitor across the room?
Or, can it even be done?
This is a "back to school" sale that a lot of indie developers are participating in. Currently boasting 163 Mac, iPhone, and iPad apps that are being sold at a discount. It's open to everyone, not just students.

Some current local developers I recognize on the list:
Blue Lightning Labs
IMAK Creations
Kerlmax
Moving right along now.
Am able to extract the audio (in stereo!) but it is in MP3 form.
My question for the group now is: What is the preferred format for audio tracks when burning CDROMs?
iTunes will convert the MP3 to AiFF, but at a huge cost in file size.
Have used AIFF successfully, and without complaints, but those are HUGE files. Is there a better format that is smaller and will work with most players?
Again, thanks to Richard and all

At least the importing of the audio track then you can burn the audio as a CD with whatever burner program you use or iTunes.

My church records all services on a digital video recorder, where they are then burned into DVD format.
I need to be able to extract the complete sound track from any on these DVD's so that it can then be burned onto CDROM media, for members that cannot handle the DVD media.
We DO record the audio track of each service, but several have gone missing.
The video files are named VTS.01.0 (format BUP), VTS.01.1 (format VOB), etc. All are within the Video_TS folder on the DVD.
I tried to use NCH's Switch, but it doesn't recognize any of the formats on the DVD.
Many thanks

Resolutions: 1024 x 640, 1280 x 800, and 1680 x 1050
History: In January 2003, Apple introduced a 20" with a maximum resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels, selling for $1,299 U.S.

$150 for the display and $65 for the ADC to DVI adapter which should work with most desktops and laptops.

$215 takes it home. I can deliver and set it up at your location.

Thanks and let me know.

Michael

The Computer History Museum has a nice online piece on the history and background of the original MacPaint drawing program and the Quickdraw graphics library in the original 1984 Macintosh.

The source code is also available for download (for non-commercial use) at MacPaint and QuickDraw Source Code

Even if you can't read Pascal, there are good anecdotes in the short tribute to those wonderful programs.
