Could you tell me what difference there would be between my old Airport and a newer model? More secure, perhaps? I only plan to use it for Ipod Touch browsing and remote printing (at least to start). But it's possible that I would eventually use it as a remote base station to wirelessly connect my Mac Pro to the internet. Or would that be way too slow?

Sanford, you can do the research on the Apple website under the support tab. http://www.apple.com/support/airport/

Sanford, It will work but I would suggest getting the new or newer model. Especially if your running Leopard or Snow Leopard
I got this same question when I worked iPhone support through Volt at Apple. I recommended the caller go to apple.com/feedback and make the suggestion. The more people ask for a feature, the more likely Apple will add it in a future revision.

Try enough. This is the procedure that I have been using.
Was hoping there was a shorter method of deleting up to 25-35 emails at once, rather than having to scroll and click each one individually.
Clicking on each one is a beast, for sure.
Thanks

 - tap Edit on the top toolbar
- tap each message to give it a checkmark
- tap Delete on the bottom toolbar

That should be a little quicker than deleting one by one.

Is there a method of deleting all mail from the inbox, other than selecting each piece of mail individually and deleting it?
It is a pain to have to select every piece of mail, one at a time before selecting the Delete switch.
Be nice if there was a "Delete All" switch !
Anyone aware of such a method?
Thanks, you are correct about deleting mailboxes that you create.
However, the Reminders mailbox which contains the To Do box cannot be deleted in this fashion since I did not create it.
If empty, it is greyed out and cannot be selected.
Since I do not use it, it is just taking up space that could be used for additional and functional mailboxes. This is my reason for wanting to delete it.
Thanks again,

Highlight the desired mailbox to delete.
Click on menu-bar "Mailbox" & drag down to "Delete Mailbox" & click again.
You should get a window asking if you really mean to do that?
say OK.
Mailbox should be gone.
Note: You can only delete mailboxes that you originally created.

Several times a year my Mail program provides a new window requiring that I enter my password to get into my AT&T pop account, then refuses the entry that I type in.
Several months ago I discovered that if I log onto the online account for AT&T Mail and log on using my password, which is accepted. Then quit & open my Mail program, it works and no longer asks for a password. It seems to be that the Server has a mangled password & needs refreshing.

My question is, am I the only one with this problem and solution?

 Hi Sharon,

What is it you want to do with the server? Web hosting? Media server? Simple file sharing?

You can start here: http://www.macminiserver.com/

They put together an ebook on how to initially set it up here: http://www.macminicolo.net/ebooks/InitialSetupEbook.pdf

Hope this helps

Anyone possibly have an old-school magneto-optical
drive hooked up to a mac? I have 3 magneto-optical
cartridge disks (circa 1995) that I'd like to get the
data from. I'm pretty sure they are HFS formatted.

I'd gladly pay money for this service.
