That buzz you hear isn’t the crappy AT&T connection — at least this time. The buzz is that Skype is headed to iPhone and iPod Touch.
According to GigaOM, an iPhone Skype app will be released as early next week, and considering that CTIA begins next week as well, it could possibly be true. Granted that there are apps available already such as Fring that provides Skype support on the iPhone, we’re definitely interested to find out what this new app has to offer. With Skype 3.0 Beta for Windows Mobile devices offering SMS and file sending/receiving options, we’re eager to see if an iPhone app with these features also emerges.
