Apple’s efforts to bring the iPhone to China – the world’s largest mobile phone market – appear to have succeeded. Sources in China claim that mobile provider China Unicom is now preparing for iPhone’s launch perhaps as early as May.
For several years, Apple has struggled to come to agreements with the country’s largest carrier, China Mobile.
Apple’s efforts with China Unicom, the world’s third largest mobile provider with over 125 million GSM subscribers, have apparently proven more fruitful, according to reports, and the China Unicom website.
