"Dr. Mac" Bob LeVitus present his annual "State if the Mac" Address December 11, 7:30 PM

Thursday, December 11, 2003
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus is one of the world's leading authorities on the Macintosh. Bob has written 45 best-selling computer books including “Dr. Mac: The OS X Files (How to Become a Mac OS X Power User), Second Edition,” “Mac OS X For Dummies, Panther Edition,” “The Little iTunes Book, Third Edition,” and “The Little iDVD Book, Second Edition.” His books have sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide, and have been translated into more than a dozen languages.

Bob has written columns, reviews, and feature articles for almost every magazine with the word "Mac" in its title and currently writes the "Dr. Mac" column for the Houston Chronicle technology page each Friday, the "Dr. Mac's Rants & Raves" column for The Mac Observer every other Friday, and "Dr. Mac: The OS X Files" column in MacDesign magazine six times a year.

While proud to be known for his keen knowledge of the Mac and its history, Bob likes to be known for his humorous relaxed writing style and ability to translate "techie" jargon into usable and fun advice for normal folks.

Bob is a great supporter of Mac user groups, making hundreds of appearances and presentations over the years, including the very first meeting of Capitol Macintosh, and many for our group since. We are thrilled to welcome Bob back for his always exciting, entertaining, and enlightening annual "State of the Macintosh" address.

This year, by special request of the CapMac membership, he will focus on Panther, and demonstrate his five favorite new OS X features, as well as showing his favorite applications, games, and utilities for the Mac.
