Bob Levitus Presents his Annual State of the Macintosh Address

Thursday, December 12, 2002
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus is one of the world's leading authorities on the Macintosh. Bob has written 40+ best-selling computer books including "Dr. Mac: The OS X Files (How to Become a Mac OS X Power User)", "Mac OS X For Dummies," "The Little iTunes Book," and "The Little iDVD Book." His books have sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide, and have been translated into more than a dozen languages.

Bob has written columns, reviews, and feature articles for almost every magazine with the name "Mac" in its title and currently writes the "Dr. Mac" column for the Houston Chronicle technology page each Friday, which often appears the following Monday in our Austin American-Statesman's Tech Monday section. Bob is also "Senior Editor Forum Czar" at OSXFAQ.com where he dispenses daily tips and answers questions about Apple's newest operating system.

While proud to be known for his keen knowledge of the Mac and its history, Bob likes to be known for his humorous relaxed writing style and ability to translate "techie" jargon into usable and fun advice for normal folks.

Bob is a great supporter of Mac user groups, making hundreds of appearances and presentations over the years, including the very first meeting of Capitol Macintosh, and many for our group since. We are thrilled to welcome Bob back for his always exciting, entertaining, and enlightening annual "State of the Macintosh" address.

Bob will be speaking at 12 different conferences and seminars at the upcoming Macworld Expo in San Francisco Bob calls Austin "one of the greatest cities of all time - up there with Athens, Rome, and Paris. Really."

Plus, questions and answers, raffle, the nicest Mac friends you could ever hope to meet, and more!

Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend. Don't miss it!
