Lesa Snider King presents PhotoShop Elements 4 and iStockPhoto

Thursday, September 14, 2006
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Our special guest for the September 14 CapMac general meeting is Lesa Snider King, a nationally recognized graphics expert, trainer, author, and chief evangelist for iStockphoto.com.

Lesa will arrive fresh from PhotoshopWorld in Las Vegas to teach at the FlashForward conference in downtown Austin. From there she'll join us for our monthly meeting to demo Adobe's PhotoShop Elements 4.0 and images from iStockphoto.com.

Photoshop Elements is considered the consumer version of Adobe's professional image editor, Photoshop. Often bundled with scanners and digital cameras, Elements is available in both Mac and Windows versions, and sells for much less ($80.00 vs $650.00 retail).

If you’ve ever wanted to play in the image-editing sandbox, this software is for you. Both powerful and affordable ... Elements may give you all the photo manipulation power you’ll ever need."

Not just a stripped-down version of it's big brother, Elements includes tools for fixing common image flaws quickly and easily that are especially geared to the growing number of digital camera users that are not photo editing professionals. New features include an amazing Magic Extractor tool and Magic Selection brush to separate objects from their background, compatibility with RAW format image files, skin tone enhancement, instant red eye removal, and the inclusion of Adobe's Bridge software for organizing and managing your digital image collection.
