"Dr. Mac" Bob LeVitus presents Mac OS X "Tiger" and Doctor Mac Direct

Thursday, June 9, 2005
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus joins Capitol Macintosh June 9 for a comprehensive look at Apple's recently released Mac OS X 10.4, Tiger and a demonstration of Doctor Mac Direct, a unique new service that provides expert technical assistance and training remotely.

Released to worldwide acclaim on April 29th, Tiger sports impressive new features including Spotlight, Automator, Dashboard, VoiceOver, Safari RSS, and much more. Come learn how to accelerate your productivity and enjoy your Macintosh more than ever with Tiger under the hood.

"Doctor Mac" will share vital tips about the best way to install Tiger, pitfalls to look out for, and incompatibility issues that have been identified to save you time and trouble with your upgrade.

Bob is one of the world's leading authorities on the Macintosh. He has written almost 50 best-selling computer books including his newest titles, "Mac OS X Tiger For Dummies" and "Garage Band for Dummies." His books have sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide, and have been translated into more than a dozen languages.

Bob has written columns, reviews, and feature articles for almost every magazine with the word "Mac" in its title and currently writes the "Dr. Mac" column for the Houston Chronicle technology page each Friday, the "Dr. Mac's Rants & Raves" column for The Mac Observer every other Friday, and "Dr. Mac: The OS X Files" column in MacDesign magazine six times a year.

Bob is also the founder of Doctor Mac Direct, a new service offering troubleshooting, technical support, and training via email, telephone, or interactive, web based remote control. Bob will provide a live demo of how this unique service works.

While proud to be known for his keen knowledge of the Mac and its history, Bob likes to be known for his humorous relaxed writing style and ability to translate "techie" jargon into usable and fun advice for normal folks.

Bob is a great supporter of Mac user groups, making hundreds of appearances and presentations over the years. We are thrilled to welcome Bob back and invite you to learn all about Tiger's over 200 new features from someone who has tried them all!
