Build your own Macintosh applications with SuperCard

Thursday, June 12 , 2003
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

John Dixon of MacWorld recently wrote "Since the Mac's introduction in 1984, programs for it have been easy to use but difficult to create." Those who started using Macs before Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X may remember Apple's HyperCard, which allowed even young schoolchildren to create simple applications.

SuperCard from Solutions Etcetera is the topic of our June general meeting, capably presented by Chilton Webb, a software developer and consultant who has been using SuperCard for many years to build professional Macintosh applications.

If you are like most Mac users you probably have never even considered making a program to run on your Mac. Chilton will show you why you might want to create a program, types of software you could use, and how simple it is to develop your own application using SuperCard.

Supercard 4 - Powerful and Easy
MacNN: "SuperCard proves that making software doesn't have to be a nerdy process, and it doesn't have to involve even a single line of programming code. If you can string sentences together and have half an ounce of logic in your head, SuperCard can help you create software which does virtually whatever you want, exactly the way you want it."

SuperCard has a Trial Version available which Chilton will use during his presentation. Download and install it if you would like to follow along on your PowerBook or iBook. Helpful Links:
