Triple Play May - 3 presentations by CapMac members

Our May 11 General Meeting will have not one, but three special presentations, all delivered by your fellow CapMac members, who will be competing for nice prizes while sharing information about a product or service they personally use and recommend.

Each presenter will have 25 minutes each (20 minutes are recommended for the presentation, saving 5 minutes for Q&A).

The presentation can be about any product or service that helps a Mac user get more from their computer.

The audience will vote at the end of the meeting, ranking each presentation in order of preference, considering:

* How useful or helpful is the information?
* How compelling was the presentation?
* How well explained or demonstrated was the product or service?

Presenters will be chosen by drawing three names from those who volunteer to participate, with the following prizes to be awarded:

First Place - $100 Gift Card for the Apple Store
Second Place - $50 Gift Card for the Apple Store
Third Place - $25 Gift Card for the Apple Store

Presenters may bring their own computer, or bring their presentation on an optical disk or external drive to copy onto a computer that will be available at the meeting. Presenters may bring peripherals and are encouraged to use the A/V system available in our new meeting space. Presenters can utilize handouts.

How to enter? Send an email to indicating your interest in participating in our first "Triple Play May" meeting. You do not have to indicate what your presentation will be about with your entry.

Deadline for entry is midnight, Sunday, April 30.

Names will be drawn and all entrants notified of the presenters selected via email on April 28. This will give you two weeks to prepare your presentation.

Please note new meeting space beginning with the May, 2006 General Meeting. We will not be meeting at the College of Pharmacy on the UT campus!

Location: The CapMac General Meeting is generally held on the second Thursday of every month. We are fortunate to have an excellent meeting space in the Goodwill Industries of Central Texas headquarters near the intersection of Hwy 183 and Interstate 35 with easy access and front door parking. The new meeting space is equipped with state of the art audio and video projection and internet access.
