Brian Greenstone presents Nanosaur II at the General Meeting March 11

Thursday, March 11, 2004
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Brian Greenstone of Austin-based Pangea Software last visited us in October 2002 for the worldwide public debut of Bugdom 2. This month Brian returns with another highly anticipated sequel - Nanosaur II: Hatchling.

Nanosaur II: Hatchling is in final development and will be available March 10th. The game is a continuation of the original Nanosaur storyline, yet this time you get to fly a pteradactyl who's loaded with hi-tech weaponry, and the game is much larger than the original 1998 game. In addition to the adventure mode where you blast enemy dinos and save eggs, there are also six two-player levels including racing, capture-the-flag, and battle.

Nanosaur II is the only game available for Mac OS X which supports both anaglyph and LCD shutter glasses for a totally immersive 3D experience.

The original Nanosaur was bundled with the iMac when it was introduced in 1998 and more than a few prospective buyers stopped to look at the colorful gumdrop shaped computer because they saw someone playing the amazing 3D game.

"Fans of the original game are going to be blown away with what we’ve done in this one," said Brian Greenstone, President of Pangea.

We also plan to have two mini-presentations:

1 - CapMac member and server administrator Richard Cardona will show how to set up NetNewsWire to read RSS news feeds.

2 - A secure messaging presentation by CapMac member and information security specialist Bill McGregor, with a chance to enroll for a free Thawte digital ID certificate.

We'll chat about the new iPod Mini, the rumored Apple retail store coming to a certain large mall in Austin named after a famous local waterway, learn about new CapMac benefits, and hear who's coming to present in April and May.
